Science Technician

We are seeking an experienced laboratory technician to join our Science Department on a 1 year fixed term basis, with the possibility of extension to a permanent role. As a member of our Science Technician Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology departments in our School. From setting up demonstrations and experiments to ensuring safety standards are met, your contributions will directly impact the quality of science education we offer. Your primary responsibilities will include the preparation of resources and the efficient setup and clearance of laboratory equipment.

The position requires 23 hours per week, 4.5 hours to be worked across 4 mornings from 8am and 5 hours to be worked on the remaining day from 8am. This role is to be worked across the term time (35 weeks per year) plus two weeks to be worked in the school holidays. The salary is £12.53 – £14.11 per hour (depending on experience). To commence from 27th August 2024.
