Home » Vacancies » Teacher of Mathematics
Deadline Date: 04th March 2024
Applications are invited for a well-qualified Teacher of Mathematics to teach across the 11-18 age range from September 2024. A full-time or part-time appointment will be considered according to the context of the successful candidate. If a candidate is well placed to offer A Level Economics teaching as a second subject, this would potentially also be of interest but is not essential in applying for the role.
We would also welcome applications from well-qualified, committed graduates who would like to train as a Mathematics teacher. Yarm School offers the Secondary PGCE with QTS in association with the University of Buckingham. This award is of exactly the same standing as the PGCEs awarded by university education departments or the direct training schemes run by state schools. It qualifies students to teach in any maintained or independent school in the country. If you wish to discuss this opportunity further please contact the Deputy Head Academic, Mr Darren Morton, for further information (dkm@yarmschool.org).
Outline details of how we support the training process at Yarm School can be found in our Teaching Training Booklet.
Applications should be e-mailed to the Headmaster, Dr Huw Williams, as soon as possible and no later than midday on Monday 4th March. The school reserves the right to interview before the closing date if appropriate to the context of the field. Email: head@yarmschool.org.
Yarm School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidate will be subject to vetting checks including an enhanced DBS check.
Applicants for all vacancies at Yarm School are encouraged to read these policies before applying: Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy Vetting and Suitability Policy
