In this section
As one of the leading private schools in the North, we welcome pupils from across the North East and North Yorkshire. Our dedicated coach service caters to this, covering areas like Yarm, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool, Hutton Rudby, Northallerton, Richmond and Thirsk. Our coach service is available to pupils from Year 3 (Prep) onwards.
Here is a summary of our bus routes around the North East for the current academic year, 2024-25.
There are three local coach companies with whom we work. All of the coaches have seat belts fitted which are required to be worn at all times. There is usually a regular driver on each route who knows the pupils. Each morning and afternoon there are members of staff on The Spital and on the pelican crossing to assist pupils using the service.
The coach service is an important element of the School’s environmental responsibilities and is very well subscribed. Over one third of all pupils use the service daily and about half of the Senior School.
Various passes are available for all of our bus routes to provide flexibility for our families. These include:
We also offer discounts on fares to families with more than one child using the service.
For all other enquiries about the bus service, please contact Miss Rachel Algate on coaches@yarmschool.org.
