Virtual Career Cluster Event: Law

We are delighted to announce our next ‘remote’ Career Cluster event, focusing on the popular area of law on Tuesday, 20th April from 18:30 to 20:00.

Registering is essential: http://bit.ly/YSLawCareers

This will seek to impart information, advice and guidance to pupils and their parents who are interested in exploring possible future courses and professions within law. The event has been designed for pupils and parents from Fourth Year to Upper Sixth, and any pupil with a current or developing or potential interest in law is strongly encouraged to participate.

We will be joined on screen by around 10 external speakers who will be split into three panels to share their experiences studying, training and working in the field of law:

  1. Studying towards the Law: Exploring the Routes
    • Panellists address the first steps to take: deciding on university courses, advice on how to prepare and how to apply.
  2. Establishing a Career
    • Panellists discuss the next steps after graduation: considering different pathways, how to get trained and finding the right firm.
  3. Careers in Law: A Diversifying Landscape
    • Panellists share their experience and advice on the process of selecting a chosen route within law: solicitor vs barriser and public vs private.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about a future career in law. If you or anyone you know is interested in attending on Tuesday, 20th April please register here to receive details on how to join.

Winter Weather Tuesday 19th November. School is open and all coach routes are operating as normal. Traffic may be slower than usual so please wrap up warm and travel safe.
